Products (handicrafts) included in the 1000women initiative are made by the long-term unemployed women in rural areas who with the expert support of Ethno Network translate their skills and craftsmanship into business and a source of creativity and additional income for their families.
All handicrafts presented below are made using old crafts and manual craftsmanship, using modest tools and ample creativity and innovativeness of the artisans. 1,000 women initiative includes old crafts and near-forgotten traditional crafting techniques such as gold-thread embroidery, filet-lace making, knitting, crocheting and kilim weaving. Our product portfolio consists of different categories such as interior decoration, items of clothing, souvenirs and business gifts as a central part of the 1,000women initiative.
